Cultivating your craft and evolving as an artist and producer can feel like a long journey that is often filled with overwhelming amounts of information and mental blocks. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced producer who is ready to take your musicianship and artistry to the next level, having a mentor can be really transformative for your growth as an artist.
With an extensive background in music, Lauren Kop has cultivated a vivid musical aesthetic, gaining respected roles within their community such as mentor and emerging talent. Blending musical styles and drawing inspiration from pop and dance influences, Lauren has written, produced, and released multiple EPs and a full length album under the artist name mini bear. Passionate about community building and helping to create opportunities and representation for marginalized genders, they’ve taught music production at UCLA, Girl’s Rock Camp, and IO Music Academy. They are also currently the Chief Education Officer with FEMME HOUSE, a 501(c) whose aim is to foster more equitable opportunity for women and gender-expansive individuals in the technical and behind the scenes areas of music.
An avid Ableton Live user and synth maven, They have collaborated with companies such as Moog, Ableton, Apogee, BandLab, and Splice. They were featured in Patch & Tweak with Moog, contributed to a sample pack for BandLab (in collaboration with FEMME HOUSE), created a sample pack for Splice as part of their creator class, and created a demo set called “Juicy Tuesday” for the app Ableton Note. Whether you are looking to improve your technical skills, refine your songwriting, or shape your sonic world, Lauren can help maximize your creative potential!
