I feel like now is a great time to talk about consent. I spent a month in a supportive space that focused on the importance of consent and the daily practice of enforcing/respecting boundaries. It took me a month of being in a unique safe space like that to start recognizing the lack of consent that exists in my life and the “real” world. I’ve normalized that awkward feeling of accepting an uncomfortable situation to the point where it had contributed to informing my own sexuality. I realize that this photo in itself has the potential to get flagged due to the fact that my body will likely get sexualized based on the presence of a nipple. Stop objectifying women. Stop treating women as if they are disposable. We have a responsibility as a community to deconstruct how we are raising young children. We have a responsibility to break down toxic ideas regarding gender. Every body is beautiful. However you identify is beautiful.
